"I work a lot with Diabetic patients. The session with diabetic case studies was very helpful. I can do intakes for patients and make better suggestions to the PCP regarding medication changes."

"I went to two of his and he presents really well. He knows the topics and keeps the audience engaged and provides some humor as well."

"They explained the topic well, how it applies to ambulatory nursing, and specific nursing interventions."

"Had a good speaker presence, was engaging."

"I will be more cognizant of the words I use when speaking to patients with specific disorders. Patients are not the disorder. The health issue should not define the patient."

"Jonathan was really great with diabetes teaching and relaying the importance of whole person care! LOVED IT."

"I enjoyed Jonathan Halldorson's session on precepting new grads as I currently teach a precepting course and workshop with a fellow colleague for staff."

"Relevant. Good speaker. Thought provoking."

"Energetic speaker and he was informative and engaging."

"This was one of the best CE programs I have done and would recommend that nursing programs integrate this into their curriculum. So often nurses end up triaging without any formal training and this would be a great base."

"Amazing speaker in explaining how triaging could be done by text message, which as a nurse can be scary when you look at how technology has the profession over the years but also continues to make it more accessible for people who otherwise may not be able to effectively or efficiently address healthcare needs without it. He provided just another example of how to think outside the box and realize how technology can help the healthcare system."

"This was a great course, I love the variety presented. So much useful information!"

"Entertaining, helpful and knowledgeable."

Kaiser Medical Resident Feedback (2023):

I am frequently consulting Jonathan on the care of my medically complex patients with diabetes and hypertension. This involves patients on high dose insulin, patients with significant diabetic comorbidity, history of dangerous hypoglycemia, and more.

Jonathan has taught me more about diabetes management than any other diabetes provider I have ever worked with. His superpower is his ability to connect with patients and make actionable and feasible plans for them to get to their goals, and THEN reinforce those plans in order to create sustained maintenance control of their severe diabetes. He is proactive in seeking my input and I greatly appreciate his recommendations and suggestions in next steps in providing care for patients. I really think he is singular in his ability to engage patients in involved plans and help them follow through with them. He is able to distill complex regimens and pathophysiology of disease process into a way that his patients (and I!) can understand very clearly.

I also find anecdotally that patients frequently report to me about their strong therapeutic relationship with Jonathan. This is undoubtedly also a strong driving force for compliance in their regimens.

I find him very easy to reach out to and feel he is always willing to discuss his thoughts and recommendations. His clinical management skills and the depth of his knowledge about the mechanisms of diabetes is inspiring.

I want Jonathan to know that his positive impact on patients and providers is immense and immeasurable.
